Save The Computer Lab!
The computer lab is a valuable resource for our children at Clover. It is one of those unique areas where the children learn tremendous amounts while engaged with fun projects. Our computer lab is a learning resource for our children classroom topics. It is where they can expand their knowledge outside of the classroom and utilize technology for a new learning experience.
Every single one of Clover’s students has access to our computer lab. Each class goes for an hour per week of instruction with our computer instructor. They are able to not only learn the basics of a computer but also how to create projects where their creativity flows.

If you’ve attended the budget meetings with Mrs. Fabian, you know: the budget cuts are unprecedented this coming school year. Every year we feel as if it can’t get any worse, and yet this year it has. CLICK HERE TO SEE THE POWERPOINT FROM THE BUDGET MEETING. Clover’s budget from LAUSD has been cut 70% for the upcoming year, from $120,000 this year to $50,000 next year. This has meant cutbacks in office staff and library staff. Mrs. Fabian has been hard at work trying to juggle our meager funding. She along with the Booster Club has been able to fund teachers assistants and a few hours of a library aide, and we’ve found the funding for physical education. But these salaries come at the expense of liquidating the funds that would have otherwise paid for the computer lab next year. Thus, our children will not have computer lab unless together we make it happen. Clover cannot rely upon LAUSD to meet the needs of our children. We must shoulder that responsibility ourselves.
Our children will be ill-equipped for their education in the 21st century if they do not have a strong technological foundation, but no one else is going to provide it. We must do that ourselves. We need everyone’s support to…Save the Computer Lab!
To donate to our ‘Save the Computer Lab’ Campaign please make checks payable to Clover Avenue Booster Club. Donations can be mailed to the school at 11020 Clover Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90034. You can also make a credit card donation online by clicking the DONATE button. A receipt of donation form will be sent to you for tax purposes. Please remember we are a non-profit and every single dollar that is donated is tax exempt.
